Ajna Meditation VR
Summer 2021 –
Ajna Guided meditation is an interactive virtual reality experience which teaches the user how to breathe and focus. By including Terry’s relaxing guided mediation, and the visual queues of a growing and shrinking light, we can easily guide the user through the meditation in a setting where the possibilities are virtually endless. This is a proof of concept which has been in the works for a couple of months, and would only be one of many guided meditations, with different lessons available from the main menu.
All models created in Blender, and Meshroom using photogrammetry. This has been a more in depth dive into Unity, involving two scenes, and more elaborate code. The intensity and range of the lights are driven by a growing and shrinking sphere with an emissive material. There are particle systems for falling leaves with all Japanese maple trees, a functioning lightswitch which increases two lights’ intensity, and an exit door to close the program. I’ve learned how to animate interactively through code, drive parameters through multiple scripts, and lots more.
